A Hippocracy: Nuclear Weapons and Racism

The United States of America is filled with hippocracies. huge hippocracies. its shocking that people then, and now, don't see them. America claims it is the global police filling humanity's hearts with democracy and extinguishing those evils which threaten peace. What they really mean by extinguishing evil is destroying, uprooting, dehumanizing cultures which are not ours. Thats the first hippocracy i want to point out. We have gun violence, oppress LGBT, have sex scandals in congress, racism, start wars. how is that peaceful? how is that ideal in any way. We have our own problems and WE claim to be able to "cure" the world. false.

the hippocracy that i have always seen, and has always bothered me is nuclear weapons. We have hundreds of nuclear weapons and we flaunt them around to show our power.  do not forget America does not hesitate in making it known it has power to destroy anyone. Where the irony lies is in its fear of other countries gaining nuclear power. We make it beyond obvious, yet we can't fathom why other nations feel the need to protect themselves. America is so concerned about Iran gaining power, but we refuse to ask why Iran is flirting (or constructing, whatever they may be doing)with the idea. its not like its unprecedented for one country to defend themselves when the other gets stronger.

i am not advocating for nucs. in fact, the opposite. i hate them. they are the reason for tension, mistrust, power-hungry capitalists making dollars, and racism. Pakistan and Iran have always been large entities in the global sphere. Same with Saudi Arabia for different reasons (oil, we love it). When the Twin Towers fell, America saw the fault in the race and religion, not anything else that could possibly wrong with the situation. It couldn't be the fact that we had so much influence and anguish towards middle eastern culture. That can't be it. They used the attack as reason to invade for "humanitarian issues to save the people from Saddam, Taliban, Osama." Please, do you really think America cares about some women being beaten in afghanistan by their husbands. i wish they did. i truly do. if they did claim to be saving women, they wouldn't do it by bombing their village. But its about power, influence, oil, and capitalism. World Market Dominance. And maybe the added thrill of squashing out cultures they find udderly beneath them. They profited from 9/11. They might deny it, but we are still there, arn't we.
Iran's pressure now makes them anxious because they are Shi'ite muslims, are gaining power, and America can't prosper from having them as an equal. Israel has nuclear weapons and that is fineee. The are on our side, not Muslim, and completely rational, obviously. That how America always sees it.  I am of Iranian descent and i have come in contact with Persian culture very often. I have never been there and i do not speak Farci and i am not ashamed of my heritage (i can't be anything else after all) , but morons ask me where i'm from and when i say, "United States, but i had an iranian grandfather", they usually ask at least one of four things.

1) where is that?
2) does your father where a turban?
3) do you have a bomb on your chest?
4) are you muslim?

idiots. that is what America thinks of the middle east. it is because media, politicans, music, and movies have turned everything they do, believe, look like, and say into the next terrorist attack and then we wonder why they want nuclear weapons. im not saying nuclear weapons are good. again, i hate them. im saying we, America, have pushed and shoved people around long enough, been oppressive and violent too often, and said how noble our cause is one too many times, and we will be the cause of WWIII, nuclear weapon edition. and i hope for humanity's (those who are left) sake, they will see their fault before the launch button is pushed.
